Lightning

We are in the middle of a big lightning storm right now - a little unnerving. This event is scary to me because when I was a little kid my dad told me the story of when his house got hit by lightning and the wall caught on fire. When I lived in TX I remember asking my dad if that could happen to us but he reassured me that since we have a lightning rod the lightning will hit that and be grounded. True or not, I felt comforted by this. Well, up here in NY we don't think we have one. Dave says they are not common up here because their are other things that attract the lighting that are higher than our house. Mhhh...
