NASCAR

If you would have told me a few years ago that I would enjoy NASCAR, actually wonder when the races are, and look up stats online I would have called you crazy! I am not going to lie - I have always held the idea that the only people who watch NASCAR are true rednecks (hope that's not offensive). Well, I have been proven wrong. When Dave and I first met he was leaving the following weekend to go to a race in Richmond, VA. I didn't think much of it at the time but that should have been a signal to me that he was a fan. It turns out that NASCAR actually has strategy and athleticism to it and the trick is to pick a driver and root for them (like horse racing!). Dave's (and now my) driver is Carl Edwards - pictured above doing his victory backflip. Currently, Carl is second in the points standings and has won the last 2 races so things are getting exciting around here on the racing front.
I have become such a big racing fan recently, that we are going to the Charlotte, NC race in October with some friends. I think it will be quite the experience, but I am excited!
